Genekat Azure+ Inactivation & Stabilizing Transport Buffer

Azure+ is a virus inactivating and RNA stabilizing medium used for transport of naso- or oropharyngeal swabs, or
saliva sampled from patients for in vitro diagnostic testing on the presence of genetic material of a virus by RTqPCR or other molecular method (SARS-CoV-2, influenza A/B, RSV A/B).

Azure+ abrogates the infectious potential of collected patient material without affecting the integrity of the RNA to be used in a diagnostic test based on RT-qPCR or other molecular method. Azure+ also functions as a lysis buffer. It contains guanidine thiocyanate and N-lauroylsarcosine for virus and RNase inactivation.
